Known for her choreographic finesse, and her ability to work with people from all walks of life,  Sammie Denham has etched her artistry onto a diverse canvas of projects. Her creativity has graced esteemed brands like L’Oreal and Miss World Canada, she has lended her choreography to live productions for companies such as the Lover’s Cabaret and New York Joffrey Ballet School, and added artistic touch to the cinematic realm in the film Meridiem.

A pivotal milestone for Sammie was the unveiling of her full length piece, "Dances on Water" at the Sechelt Arts Festival's 20th Anniversary Performance. And most recently Sammie's choreography has found its grandeur on the prestigious stages of Royal Caribbean. Starting as an assistant choreographer, helping create on two captivating productions: "Aqua80" and "The Book." and most recently, ascending to the role of associate choreographer, lending her visionary touch to one Royal Caribbean's latest production, "inTENse." This remarkable progression echoes her steadfast devotion to artistic growth and her innate ability to transport audiences through the eloquence of movement.

INSTRUCTOR

Sammie’s dynamic and challenging choreography, combining both athleticism and style keeps her in high demand as an instructor. 

With an expansive teaching portfolio that spans across both Canada, the US, and the UK, Sammie's influence has graced numerous aspiring dancers. She has served as faculty at prestigious institutions such as Vancouver's esteemed Harbour Dance Centre, Joffrey Ballet School in New York and House of Jazz in the UK.  Her impact extends further on the global dance scene, as she has participated as an instructor for Joffrey Ballet School's international audition tour for their esteemed summer intensives.

Furthermore Sammie's commitment to nurturing the art of dance led her to curate the annual 'Summer Wake-Up Workshop', which took place on the picturesque Sunshine Coast, Canada,. She successfully led this week long summer intensive for an impressive span of seven years. This workshop attracted participants ranging from the age of 3 to adults, showcasing her versatile prowess in engaging dancers of all levels and age groups.

DIRECTOR

As Sammie's career has continued to evolve, she has embraced the role of rehearsal director for shows in operation and associate director for new show creations.  Her most recent venture was working  as an associate director and choreographer on Royal Caribbean's newest aquatic show - Aqua Action on ICON of the Seas.

This latest chapter stands as a testament to her unwavering commitment to pushing artistic boundaries and weaving stories through the language of movement. Her remarkable aptitude for collaboration and a rare ability to work with, and direct multi-disciplinary artists and athletes, has provided her the opportunity to work performers of all kinds, including singers, actors, divers, synchronized swimmers, slackliners, contortionists,  acrobats, aerialists, skatebaorders and more.  These skills combined with the vision to create in unique one-of-a-kind venues, results in the creation of pure magic.
